CAMPELLONE ENDOWMENT

Sustaining a Legacy of Giving

Fr. Campellone spent 15 years as president of Father Judge High School. Under his administration, the school went from the verge of financial collapse to a position of fiscal strength. He raised millions of dollars to take Father Judge from a school to a campus — adding the Mitchell Center, the Ramp Athletic Fields, and the Father Brisson Center for Academic Excellence, which offers support for students with learning differences.

Upon retiring, Fr. Campellone took a sabbatical visiting Catholic high schools across the country to learn firsthand what was being done to make them more effective and attractive to students and families. His report helped the leadership at Father Judge embark on a strategic plan to set the school’s direction for the next five to ten years.

The study made clear the demand for skilled labor, which had previously been in the purview of trade and vocational schools. Skilled labor would become a key learning pathway at Father Judge in addition to the academic excellence already provided. Looking forward, the new Career Pathways Academy will enable students to learn and become certified in a trade while earning their diploma, graduating with their classmates, and fully integrating into the fabric of Father Judge.

Supporting Future Father Judge Students

The strength of any institution depends on its ability to plan for a sustainable future. Through The Campaign for 3301, at least $5 million will be earmarked for the Campellone Endowment. Named after former school president the Reverend Joseph Campellone OSFS, the endowment is a permanently restricted fund held by The Friends of Father Judge, Inc. with the purpose of providing much-needed support to students and their families. Additionally, a minimum of 50% of any investment returns will be reinvested to grow and sustain the endowment.

One Goal. Many Ways to Give.

Growing and sustaining the Campellone Endowment can take many forms, with pledged gifts of cash and securities being the most common forms of giving. If you are over 70, gift intentions spelled out in your will can also be counted towards The Campaign for 3301. By providing documentation naming the Friends of Father Judge High School, Inc. as a beneficiary in your will, trust, or insurance policy, you can provide future support now.
